Their Gluten Free Menu

BJ’S Restaurant & Brewhouse is a great place to go eat if you are eating gluten free!  One just opened around my area, and with family over we figured it would be a great place to take them.

At first I did not know that they actually had a gluten free menu (upon request though).  So I ordered the usual burger without a bun (or condiments) and a side of fries.  When our food was brought out I noticed it had everything right, but that they had put a dressing on top of the burger.  So I went through the whole explaining why I couldn’t just wipe it off and I’d have to re-order a plain burger without any dressing on it because of food allergies.

They were very apologetic about it and the manager ended up bringing out the re-ordered burger and also told me that they had just gotten a gluten free menu last weekand that not all the staff knew about it (there’s the request part) but she handed me their menu that I could take with me.  I was shocked to see all of the foods that were listed without wheat (their chart made it easy enough to read).  I even saw things like different dressings are considered gluten free there that would normally be off limits… that does make me wonder how accurate some of them were, but I plan on trying some to see if they truly are gluten free.  Ranch dressing was among one of them listed as wheat free.  Also their Chipolte Mayo is gluten free since they use Hellman’s Mayonnaise, it’s my favorite dressing I have found at certain restaurants.
