Things I Love – Heinz Ketchup

Heinz Ketchup is most definitely one of the things that I love.  Heinz is gluten free since the distilled vinegar is from corn, not wheat.  When I was first diagnosed six years ago, the only known gluten free ketchup were the ones you had to buy specially at a health food store.  And of course they were pretty expensive, plus they were not all that big (maybe 1/3 of the size in the photo to the left).  Being a ketchup lover (maybe even a little too much) it had to be rationed, and only bought everyone in a while.  This is why when Heinz announced they were gluten free I was extremely excited and that I would be able to go to a regular grocery store and just buy some ketchup (and in a big size too).

Also, looking at the Heinz web site I found out after reading their gluten free list that the Heinz BBQ sauce and Heinz Mustard are sopossed to be gluten free as well.  I will have to try these, since I did not know they were gluten free.
